This kid

He cracks me up. When he gets upset, like this pictured instance when he was told to come eat his lunch, and he doesn't want to, he just lays on the floor in defiance.

He doesn't kick and scream, just lays there. Ha Ha!

Ollie in pictures

18 month Oliver has been an adventure. We've had ups and downs and everything in between. I think he's getting into the "terrible twos" a little early. Ultimately he is fun though. He's starting to do these "cute poses" when he does something he's not supposed to do. We try not to laugh, but sometimes we can't help it. He's a stinker. (No picture of that yet.)

He's in nursery now at church, which is heaven! We can actually pay attention in classes, it's great. He did great the first week, he was brought to me the last 15 minutes because his diaper had leaked majorly. The 2nd week he only lasted a half hour since he was super tired and didn't sleep well the night before and therefore, super cranky, so we just went home an hour early.  This last week, he did amazing during sacrament meeting and stayed in nursery the whole time. It was fun picking him up after church.
Last Sunday, after church
Ollie is getting used to the house, which is a relief. He doesn't freak out about the hard floors anymore, but we're still looking into getting rugs, of course.

While unpacking, all he wanted to do was sit in boxes.
I forgot to mention this before but a few weeks ago we had a short visit from Shannon and Michael and the boys. It was fun to relax for a bit and not unpack and just play.

At Rumbi's with Skye and Rafe
Splashing in the fountain
Watching Dad do some yard work.
His binoculars.
Jumping on the trampoline for the first time (at Aunt Midge's house). He loved it.

Good things

We're getting settled into the house. Things have slowed down and been going a little more smoothly. Oliver has seemed much happier for a few days now and therefore that makes Brady and I more happy as well. We have plans for rugs, dining room furniture and other purchases to make this house awesome, but at this moment, we're saving for our upcoming vacation to Disneyland! 39 more days, baby! We're more than a little excited for a break from the daily grind.

So at the moment, our living room has two very open walls, since we're waiting for our hand-me-down chairs to arrive, and Oliver has come to see them as his open canvas. Just today, he has colored on the walls with colored pencil and crayon! The pencil came off fine, but I need to do a little searching online to figure out how to get rid of the crayon. So no more writing utensils for Ollie unsupervised. Grr.

So big news people! I've started a new blog! I know, I have two, but the photography blog is going bye bye. I'm starting a blog just about my drawing. It's just for fun and it's a place I can talk just about drawing and what I'm working on and keep this blog for family stuff. I have a few posts on there now, so I do hope you check it out. I'll be telling stories about my stuff and reminiscing about the past. There is a link over on side bar.

All moved

We moved last week, and everything went down without a hitch. Now we just have to finish unpacking. Since we also unloaded a whole storage unit, there is a lot more stuff than we really have room for. We're being critical though, and making a donate pile and Bookman's pile (we have a lot of books).

We are really enjoying the house, or at least, Brady and I are, Oliver has been super grumpy since the move. I'll have to blog more about it later. Right now I'm blogging from the iPad since my computer desk looks like this:
